New Trash Collection Guidelines with BEST TRASH

Residents of Harris County MUD No. 221, we are thrilled to introduce BEST TRASH as your dedicated trash collection provider. Keeping our community clean and organized is a priority, and with BEST TRASH, you can expect reliable and efficient service.

Trash Collection Schedule and Guidelines: Trash collection days are every Tuesday and Friday. Your garbage should be placed in the provided 95-gallon trash carts and set out by the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on collection days. While residents are encouraged to fit all refuse into the provided cart, additional garbage can be placed in containers (30-50 gallons) or bags (weighing no more than 40 pounds) next to the trash cart.

Excluded Items: Certain items are not accepted, such as dirt, sod, mulch, rocks, bricks, tile, concrete, tires, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil, sheetrock, insulation, construction debris, hazardous materials, and liquids like gasoline and paints. If any non-collectible items are found, BEST TRASH will leave a tag explaining the reason for non-collection.

Heavy Trash and Bulk Items: Heavy trash, including tree trimmings, shrubs, brush, and fencing (no larger than 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length, tied in bundles under 40 pounds), will be collected every service day. Up to 3 cubic yards of yard waste (or up to 10 bags/bundles) can be collected per service day. Items like appliances, furniture, and mattresses are limited to two large items per collection day. Carpets (up to one room, cut into bundles under 4 feet wide and 40 pounds) will also be picked up on collection days. Appliances containing Freon must be drained and accompanied by a bill verifying the service.

Special Collection Service: For larger amounts of refuse, yard trimmings, or bulk items, BEST TRASH offers special collection services. For pricing information, email your district name, address, and photos of your items to customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.

Cart Care and Maintenance: Lost or stolen trash containers can be replaced for a fee by contacting BEST TRASH.

Holiday Schedule: If your collection day falls on a holiday (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day), your trash will be collected on the next scheduled collection day.
